I made these e-shrines to show off my affection for my favorite characters!! And since I don't have a bunch of money, it's easier to make a page to dedicate my time towards a character. While I do have a physical shrine (for Kirby my round son), other characters that I adore lack merch or merch of them are very rare and hard to come by. Also, making these shrines is a great way for me to practice html and css, as well as working on my web graphics an editing skills.
I love being nerdy/being a nerd. I've grown up as one, and both of my parents are also nerds. I've been surrounded by fandom culture and other "cringe" things since I can remember. My mom is on Tumblr and uses ao3, and my dad is a huge fan of card games and RPGs. My dad already had a Wii from before I was born, and when I was about six (I think), my dad got us a 2DS. This 2DS was so much of my childhood. I would sneak it into my bedroom and stay up all night playing Pokémon X. I also played PC games with my dad as well. We'd play the Gianna Sisters and Ori a lot lol. And as I've entered my teen years, I got into more and more things that are also nerdy, like vocaloid and anime. And now, I love so many video games and other things!!
E-shrines have been a thing since the 90s, and they're still being made today. They can be deticated to anything. A character, a band, an animal, even something religious. However, most of these shrines are deticated to characters and media that mean the world to me. E-shrines contain info about whatever the shrine is deticated to. If you have a character shrine, you would but in things such as their name, birthday, voice actor (if they have one), and other things, and you'd also want to include things like why you like the character, and what they mean to you.
Basically all the information in this section is from fanlore.
